Wednesday: Cleaned the house top to bottom. There was much grumbling (by me and the kids). Zack went to play with some friends. Cousin Myles slept over.
Thursday: We intended to play games all day. We ran some errands in the morning and dropped a little snack off to Matt at work. We headed home to start our game marathon when we heard a knock at our door. It was our long lost neighbors who now live in CA! It was fun to visit with them. (Of course, my perfectly clean house from the day before was quite a mess. Slightly embarrassed, but more excited to visit with my friends, they came in and we had a fun visit while the boys all played. (While I got to cuddle their gorgeous baby!)
Friday: we stayed close to home and then went swimming in the evening. We took a little picnic and had a great time. Well, the kids loved it, I am kind of a wus and prefer to swim when it is a very warm pool or like 100 degrees outside. I just shiver the whole time, especially once my hair gets wet. It wore the kids out though and they went to bed easy peasy.
Saturday: We did some chores, ran some errands, worked in the yard and then in the evening headed to BYU to watch the Men's Volleyball game with Matt's family. It was a fun night! Sunday was pretty relaxing and the kids all woke up early this morning (mostly) excited to get back to school! We have lots planned for the next few months, camping trips and school parties and yard work galore. Overall, we had a great week of playing together.
