The High School Tag
Erin B. passed this along to me and I thought it was very entertaining. Sorry, mine is not so entertaining. I was pretty boring in high school.
1. Did you date someone from your school? Ummm...went on dates occasionally (like I can count them on two hands), no boyfriends.
2. What kind of car did you drive? I lived in Chile, you couldn't drive until you were 18. I was really good at getting taxis!
3. Did you pass your driver's test on the first try? Written...yes, driving...no (probably a good thing I was off the roads in high school).
4. Were you a party animal? Haaahaa, that would be a big fat NO!
5. Were you considered a flirt? I would say no. But I have always been really friendly and sometimes that was misinterpreted as flirting.
6. Were you in band, orchestra or choir? Band in ninth grade (I played the trumpet). And choir from 10th grade on up.
7. Were you a nerd? I always felt like a nerd.
8. Were you on any varsity teams? Well considering I usually fall down when I am just walking, I am not very athletically inclined. I did pretend to play volleyball senior year. And when I was a junior I broke a boy's collar bone while we were playing basketball.
9. Did you get suspended/expelled? No way, I was a goody-two-shoes all the way.
10. Can you still sing the fight song? Did we have a fight song?
11. Who were your favorite teachers? Mr. Barnett (Environmental Science and Math...the teacher, people, not the subject. )
12. Where did you sit during lunch? Outside the art room under a tree...until a bird dropped something IN MY HAIR....I never sat there again.
13. What is your school's full name? Sophmore year: Northridge High School. Jr. and Sr. years: The International School Nido de Aguilas.
14. School mascot and colors? NHS: the Northridge Knights, Silver and Red, Nido: the Aguilas (Eagles), colors were blue and white (?) (help me out here other Nido grads, I can't remember!)
15. Did you go to homecoming, and with who? They did not have Homecoming at my school.
16. If you could go back and do it again, would you? Yes, I had a lot of fun and some great stories.
17. What do you remember most about graduation? That I was really excited to get to college until I saw my sister crying and then I realized how much I was going to miss my family! (No weekends home, they were still in Chile and I was at BYU.)
18. Where did you go Senior Skip Day? I don't really remember an official skip day, but I do remember going to the mall with Lorna and Sabrina one day....
19. Where you in any clubs? Ummm, did they have clubs in high school? I was Student Body Sec., does that count?
20. Have you gained some weight since then? Uhhh yeah, I have had three kids since then!
21. Who was your prom date? Prom was really different in Chile, it wasn't necessarily a date thing, it was at a fancy hotel and lasted til like 4 in the morning. Jr. year I went with Xan Stepp and Sr. year I went with Igor I can't remember his last name, but he was Brazilian and both were really nice guys.
22. Are you planning on going to your ten year reunion? Ok...this is a really long tag. My reunion is this year. In Chile. So no, I will not be going. But a lot of my class keeps in touch through facebook.
23. Did you have a job in high school? No, foreign country, remember? Although I did pass out donut samples on the street one day for a family friend and almost got hit by trucks multiple times.
Ahhh...memories. I thought this was fun to reminisce. I tag Jen, Jami, Mariah and Andrea D.

Tag
I stole this tag from Diana...I thought it looked fun. Ahhh....memories.
20 years ago: I was just finishing second grade at South Weber Elementary. My best buddy was Amanda Cowdin and we were getting ready to move to Atlanta, Georgia. I had a crush on Todd Nielson...but so did everyone else in second grade.
10 years ago: I was about to graduate from high school, Nido de Aguilas in Santiago, Chile. I had a great time in Chile, but was so excited to head out to college go on real dates and have fun, fun, fun!! I felt that the world was at my feet and anything was possible!
5 years ago: We had been married two years. I was adjusting to being a new mom. Zacky was five months old and so adorable. We had just moved into our first little house and I was having fun trying to become a homemaker...I never really cooked before I finished school and work and living in a teeny apartment doesn't take a lot of cleanup; working on a garden and planting lots of really cool flowers thanks to Matt's dad. Our yard was the talk of the neighborhood that year!
1 year ago: I was pregnant with baby #3 three, excited for my family to visit for the summer, not interested in gardening at all with my huge belly and the sweltering heat. I was nervous and excited for three kids and just about to turn 28 in the fall.
1 month ago: Planning a trip to Zion's! Getting excited to start working in the yard again, dreading the Relay Marathon.
1 week ago: dreaming about when I saw WICKED! Talking to Matt about plants and bushes we wanted to buy that weekend for our yard....we now have some things planted, hurray!
1 hour ago: I put Austin down for a nap, cuddled with Derek while he watched Peter Pan and mopped the kitchen floor (my least favorite task. Honestly, I would rather scrub toilets than mop the kitchen floor). Talked to Tara on the phone while holding Derek.
Tomorrow: Going to Ogden for my cute sister-in-law's high school graduation! Congrats, Meagan!! We love you!
All of my sisters-in-law are now tagged. And anyone else who thinks it would be fun!

Book Tag from Liz
RULES:
Find the book closest to you with at least 123 pages.
Turn to page 123.
Find the fifth sentence.
Post the next 3 sentences.
Also make a plug about a book you are reading.
Tag 5 people.
Since the computer is right next to the bookshelf, this was pretty easy. I had to bypass all the kid books and the next I came to was The Hardy Boys #47 Mystery of the Whale Tatoo. It reads: "Okay, Mug, lets go!" The car started off with Frank and Joe cramped, hot, and uncomfortable. "We really botched this one," Joe whispered.
I am currently (re)reading The Ladies Auxiliary by Tova Mirvis. It is a really great book about a small Orthodox community in Memphis, Tennessee. It is all about how things are shaken up when an outsider moves into their community. One reason I love this book is becuase it devotes a lot of time to the traditions of Orthodox Jews, which I found fascinating. Great book!
I tag Tara, Rammells, John, Kim W. and Hillary.
