So we had a pretty busy week leading up to our departure for California. Blue and Gold Banquet, baptism, etc. As soon as our guests left on Saturday, following the baptism, Matt and I set to work packing for the trip. I started taking loads out to the car when I noticed there were no children around. (Sydney was taking her afternoon nap, the others had all not been feeling well all day, especially Derek.) I start to look around and find Austin asleep on a basket in my room. Then I find Zack asleep in his bed (keep in mind it is like 3 in the afternoon and Zack and Derek especially never ever nap). Then I found poor sick Derek asleep on the kitchen floor.
Being the kind, sympathetic parents we are, did we carry the sleeping boys to their comfy beds? Nahh, we packed the car as fast as we could while everyone slept, and holy cow was it nice! Poor sick kids had two days of driving in the car to recover and recover they did!
To stave off the boredom of car travel, we let the boys use the camera for a while.

BEACH!!!! We spent the night in Las Vegas, then continued our drive the next day. We drove straight to the beach and my did those little children love running around. Our hotel was about 20 minutes from Disneyland, and it was very nice. We got to our hotel, got settled in and while I put the kids to bed, Matt went to the grocery store to pick up some snacks for Disneyland. We were so excited!!
