- The boys' birthdays were so much fun. Derek did have a hard time seeing Zack getting presents and not understanding that he would get some a few days later. Zack's favorite present-the pirate ship. Derek's favorite present-the toy vacuum. (By the way on Zack's birthday Derek did learn some new words: Mine pirate ship.)
- Derek has really started to talk this last week. It is so funny to hear some of the things he says. Yesterday I was changing his dirty diaper and I said "Stinky Derek, P. U. " He said in response, "No, P. Mommy"
- Also yesterday I heard Derek playing in the pantry while I was feeding Austin. Nothing was breaking so I just let him until I was done. He soon lost interest and I didn't go into the pantry until it was time to make lunch. What did I find? All of the potatoes had been divided into groups of two and placed in ziplock bags all lined up on the shelves!
- Zack told me yesterday that he thinks his friend Hailey is sooo pretty. Wait! He is too young for this! We should probably start calling him Matt Sorensen Jr.
- Austin is a rolling fool! He is four months today and started rolling about a week and a half ago. He has tummy to back down, but still struggles with back to tummy. He gets about half way and gets stuck with his chubby little arms underneath him. He is so proud of himself though.
- And finally, after nearly 8 years at Novell, Matt has moved on to greener pastures. He wasn't looking for a new job, but one kind of fell in his lap and he started yesterday. It will be a great opportunity and I am really proud of him. He works so hard and is dang smart. It is a smaller company and is located in Draper so it is lots closer to our house. I am really excited for him, he is excited too.

Congratulations Matt! That's awesome. I, too, love the pantry story. Derek sounds like a typical obsessive-compulsive toddler. Soren is like that.
