My dear oldest child turned ELEVEN yesterday! I just can't even believe it. He woke up early, had a breakfast of his choice (chocolate chip pancakes...gross.) and then opened most of his presents before school. He got a few things that he was really excited about...Nike shirt and basketball socks. After school he got to open his last present. We told him it was too big to wrap (we kept telling him it was a cow.) He kept his eyes closed until we were ready.
His very own skis!!
He was totally thrilled!!!
He thinks he is pretty cool.
Matt loves to ski and has taken the boys about once a year since they are four or five. In 5/6 grade, kids in Utah can get a free ski pass ($30 processing fee) to ski at any Utah resort 3x. We got this pass for Zack a few weeks ago thinking it would be a great year for him to ski a bunch. All the boys love to ski and are are decent skiers. We figured that we have enough kids hitting the slopes over the years, that we will be able to pass them down through the years. He also got ski boots. We found a family in Sandy that buys rental ski equipment at the end of each season and re-sells out of their home. They had a great selection and good prices. Matt is taking the boys night skiing tonight and Zack can not wait to try out his new skis!!!
Zack is:
honest
hard-working
obedient, even when he doesn't want to be
helpful
thoughtful
funny
reliable.
He is a great example to his little brothers and sisters and so much fun to hang out with. Zack, you are amazing, and we love you!!
