The End of Cub Scouts

Zack had his second-to-last pack meeting as a Cub Scout this week.  He will become a Boy Scout in January and can't wait.  November Pack meeting had been canceled and so he earned a boatload of awards, including his Webelos Badge, his Arrow of Light and his Compass Patch and one compass point.  He also earned 7 activity pins and 5 belt loops.  Way to pack it all in at the end, Zack!

Zack pinning on the Webelos pin.
Zack's friend, Brock, also got his Arrow of Light award.  The blurs in the photo are Matt and I walking to the front with Matt.
Zack practiced shooting his arrow all night.  He is super excited to turn 11 and moved on to Boy Scouts.  He has watched Matt work with the Boy Scouts for so long, he can not wait to join them!  I have some sewing to do.  You should see the inside of Zack's scout shirt, it is a mess of thread.  Seriously.  Someone once asked me if, (since I have three boys) I was going to recycle Zack's cub scout shirt for the other boys.  THERE. IS. NO. WAY.  I worked way to hard to sew all the dang patches on in the first place.  I am not ripping them off and sewing them on again.  Sewing and I are not friends.  The thought of ripping off my hard work is sickening.  Next son, new shirt.  Derek starts cubs in January.  Way to go Zack!!  We are so proud of your hard work and dedication to scouting.
