Easing back into life

Sydney's first time going to church.

The boys running down a hill at a local park.
The boys and I stopped for a little picnic when we were out running errands one day.
This is what Sydney thought of our picnic. (It was a short picnic....maybe 15 minutes.)
Silly cousins on Memorial Day.
Sydney and her sweet cousin, Olivia. The first grand daughters in the Sorensen family!

The boys built a family nest and each one had their own little spot. It was very cute. I let them keep it like that all day and then they had to clean it up, which they did very well.

What a wonderful two weeks it has been since Sydney came into our home! She is so sweet and has three little adoring fans who are constantly looking out for her, kissing her, bringing her diapers, burp cloths and toys. We are gradually getting into a little routine, including mandatory rest time for the whole family. Summer break is the best time to have a baby, I have decided, since Zack is home to help and play with his brothers and I can send the kids in the backyard to play! The transition from three to four has been nice and easy. Maybe because I completely ignore the mess in the house and just play with the kids. And rest. And give everyone lots of cuddles and kisses.

You are amazing. I'm not this fun of a mom and my baby is still securely inside me, unable to cause chaos yet. :D

Jane has had a needlework in her home for a LONG time that says "The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow, for Children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow. So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep. I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep......" She always refers to it as the song of the 5th child or something like that... looks like you've figured it out at number 4, congratulations!!!

Seriously, you guys look and seem so happy! I'm so happy for you!
