A Special Family Home Evening

Last week, Matt and I decided we wanted to go visit Matt's Grandpa Thompson for FHE. We see him on holidays and once in a (very long while) we will go visit him on a Sunday evening. He lives about an hour and half away from us, so we really don't visit often enough. Whenever we are there, it is usually for a big family party, which is always fun, but we don't really end up spending too much time with Grandpa with all the visitors there. Matt called him on Sunday to ask if we could come visit the next night. Our boys were looking forward to it all day. I picked Matt up from work and we headed up North. We had dinner with Grandpa and then just visited and then had a little Family Night. With three rambunctious boys, we keep FHE really short. It was so much fun to talk to him one on one, hear some great stories and hear his testimony. It was a really special night, and we hope to do it again soon!

That is awesome! I bet that made his week, nothing is more important to him then family.
Good for you guys...I only live 10 minutes away and still don't visit as much as I should. He is such a great man, I love to have my kids around him as much as possible, because he is such a great example of a life well lived!
