I told my boys yesterday that we would be having a special Easter Family Home Evening.
Special to the Mom=A lesson about the Resurrection of the Savior (complete with pictures and testimonies from mom and dad) and a lovely Spring dessert of lemon bars.
Special to Zack=making a craft with crosses that say, "He is Risen" like he saw in the Oriental Trading Catalog.
He was disappointed. Then we had to explain why we don't do crosses. To cheer him up I reminded him that this weekend is General Conference and we will build our fort/tent to watch it from and maybe if mom is feeling up to it, head down to Temple Square on Sunday to listen to a session. I love to take my kids to Temple Square during Conference, but we have missed going the last two Conferences due to rain or sickness. So we are planning on making it this time.
Saturday is the designated "Bunny Day" when the Easter Bunny leaves us some treats, and Sunday morning there is usually a new tie or a church book from mom and dad. We are looking forward to a great weekend of family, fun and lots of learning. Have a wonderful Easter!!

Ooh, I like that Easter Bunny. Maybe we'll get ours to come on Saturdays, too!!!
