Zack loves school. He came home yesterday with a bandaid on his elbow. I asked him what happened and he said that he had fallen while playing basketball at recess. Here is our conversation:
Me: Did you cry?
Zack: All offended, "NO!"
Me: So what did you do?
Zack: I looked around for Ms. Thompsen and she wasn't on the playground. So I prayed. And when I was done, she came outside and helped me.
Me: Speechless.

Derek loves being the big brother while Zack is gone and takes it very seriously. He is always saying things like, "Come here little baby boy, I will help you."
This morning, I asked the boys if they wanted to watch a show while I got ready.
Derek: I want to watch a bad guy show.
Me: We don't have any bad guy shows. We are good guys.
Derek: We not good guys. We don't have guns and swords. We just people.

Austin talks constantly. He is such a funny baby. We were asking him questions and these were his answers.
Me: Austin, how old are you?
Austin (holding up one finger): Three!!
Me: Austin who am I?
Austin: Mam!!
Me: Who are they? (pointing to the rest of the family)
Austin: Dad, Der, Zockie
Me (pointing to him): What is your name?
Austin: Baby!
(Derek has called Austin baby from the day he was born. He rarely, if ever, calls him by name. Apparently, it has stuck.)

Man kids are great! Those little conversations are what it is all about. And I have totally enjoyed all you fun pictures. Will you PLEASE convince Joe we need to be a camping family... and that the memories make up for lack of sleep.

How much fun are those boys. It is so great that you have the blog to put it all down and share it with your loved ones. I know your parents are loving it:-)
