Derek is now 3!

Derek loves costumes and is always dressed as either, Jack Sparrow, Spiderman or Darth Vader. He also frequently wears a blue cape and ski goggles while carrying a toy drill. He is a funny kid. When he watches a show, he gets all the throw pillows and piles them on top of himself, ALWAYS. That is why, unless company is coming over, or I am feeling extra festive, the throw pillows usually stay in the closet on the top shelf. They just end up on the floor anyway.

He loves to help with jobs, washing dishes, cooking, he especially loves washing windows and mopping the floor. Hopefully, this will last through high school :)
On Monday Derek asked for some hot chocolate. I made him some and got him settled at the table. Meanwhile, the phone rang and I started talking to my Grandma. While I was chatting, Derek decided his cocoa was not chocolate-y enough and so took matters into his own hands.
Yes, that canister is EMPTY. It had been 3/4 full. And I am not sure what is with the 57 spoons.

He had a fun birthday too, although I never make him cake, because after Zack's birthday, two cousin birthdays the next day and then Derek's on Sunday, we were all caked out. He got birthday Banana Cream Pie. He loved his new scooter and is already acting older...er, mostly. He is so funny and we love him so much. He definitely adds spice to our house!
