* The other day we were going to have some extra riders in our van. I moved Derek to the back of the van with Zack so the middle seats would be open. As I was driving to the meeting spot, I hear Zack say to Derek:
Zack: So, Der, you want to talk?
Der: Sure
(Zack, pensive and looking out the window) Well, you know that Batman is sure a hero.
Der: Uh-huh
Zack: I wonder where he learned all his moves.
Der: Uh-huh.
Zack: So, were you happy with what you got for Christmas?
Der: Uh-huh.
(Zack gives up.)
* I recently tried on my wedding dress. Mostly because I was curious if it still fit, 8 years and three kids later. (it sort of kind of in an unbearably uncomfortable way did. Thank goodness it had an empire waist.) These were the reactions:
Matt: Wow, you are cute! But you look....older than when we got married. I mean (grasping now, realizing he has made a possibly fatal error) you were just a baby when we got married! I mean, wow! you are skinny! (Saved)
Zack: What is that? Are you going to wear that to the party tonight?
Me: No, this is my wedding dress, do I look like a princess?
Zack: Not really. But you look....(searching for the right word) very beautiful. (what a diplomat)
Derek: Mommy! Are you a princess?
Me: Yes.
Derek: No, you just mommy!
* And I recently saw Derek brushing his hair in the bathroom. When he finished he said, "I look good!"
*The other day I was getting ready and Derek picks up some of my makeup and says, what is this. I tell him it is my makeup. Then he says, "You can never have t0o much makeup." ?!?
(I later realized that one of the "grooming" robots says this on Wall*E and he has watched that show several times in the last week.)
Fun times!

I'm dying laughing!!!! You're kids are so funny! And yeah, trying to squeeeeeeze into MY wedding dress would be a major feat! Be proud of the fact that yours still fits you!
Too funny. I have thought about pulling out my dress to try it on, but it has been sealed in a box these last 7+ years and I don't know if I could seal it up again. I have always wondered if it is even in there.
Kids are so awesome! Enjoy all those sweet little boys, they are too fun.
