Summer So Far

Summer is flying by!  (except the week of scout camp...that went a little slow.)  So far we have:

Been the Lodge twice
Had lots of nice lazy days
Started the official "Sorensen Family Yard work Day" every Monday morning. It works pretty good to have everyone put in a few hours of hard labor and then be mostly done with the yard for the week.
Went to Lagoon
Had sleepovers with cousins
Austin got staples in his head
Ellie got stitches in her lip
Zack got contacts
Matt and Zack went to Scout Camp
Lots of swimming
Lots of Museum of Natural Curiosity
Farmer's Market
Visit to Ft. Douglas Museum
Picnics
Lots of library time
Only one snow cone all summer
Pie eating contest with Jamison's friends from BYU
Pie throwing contest with some friends
Epic dodge ball game
That weekend when Tara and Brad ran Ragnar and I had 10 kids for two days!
Water fights
Making a blanket fort in the backyard.  Every kid chickened out of sleeping in it by 10 pm

It sounds like a lot, but it has been a nice, easy summer.  We have a lot coming up, one more week of swimming lessons for the four oldest, soccer starts next week, and a few campouts before school starts in three weeks.  Eeek!  This has been a great summer!
