Matt has had to travel a lot for work the last few months. When we found out he was going to be out of town during our Fall Break, we planned an outing for ourselves the following weekend. We took a quick trip down to Capitol Reef National Park. We had never been before. We usually camp when we visit the National Parks, but Matt realizes how much I hate to be cold and got us a hotel. We drove down on a Friday morning, hiked all day and then crashed at the hotel. We went back for a few more hikes on Saturday and then arrived home around 11 pm on Saturday night. A quick, but fun trip!
We took a short break at the Water Tanks and Matt read the kids a story. I love the little boys hanging on to their dad.
So fun to get away for a minute and enjoy time together with no distractions. We plan to go back to Capitol Reef soon and camp.

We loved our time there many moons ago! Ethan had a professor who claimed it was the hidden gem among Utah's National Parks. I love that it isn't so overwhelmingly touristy. Glad you had a nice quick trip! Sounds like a dream come true!
It's been fun to read your posts from the last little while and get all caught up. Your kids are so cute and I love reading about them!
