Yesterday was Sydney's Fourth Birthday! She was counting down the days. She had a princess picnic party with some friends and so she slept with sponge curlers in her hair the night before. She wanted to have "princess hair" Her hair has never taken curl very well, but those rollers did the trick. She was super excited about her hair!
Party guests included her three little neighbor friends and her girl cousins who live nearby.
It was windy, so we had our "picnic" inside. The girls were so quiet and sweet. I have only ever done boy parties and they are CRAZY. This was very calm. :)
Princess story time. They were all very concentrated on the story.
Elijah was also very into the story. Look at Ellie and her cousin Claire! They will both be one next month. Eeek.
We played kiss the frog....the girls got a big kick out of the lipstick.
Syd won. She got him right on the lips.
She is not quite sure how she feels about that.
I turned on "Let It Go" from Frozen and you should have seen those quiet girls come alive! They were very into it.
Especially Syd.
Sabrina showed off her best moves.
The pinata was a hit.
The littlest Petersons. They have grown up so fast!
That darn pinata would not break.
We finally recruited the Meg to rip it apart for us.
Pinata candy is serious business.
When you are out of things to do....go on a princess parade and wave to all the cars.
All done and tuckered out.
Syd was worn out that night.
Grandpa and Grandma Sorensen came over and Syd had cupcakes and opened her presents. She was thrilled and felt so special! At dinner I had everyone go around the table and say what they loved about Syd. Austin had to think for a minute so Syd whispered to him," Say Beautiful!" :) She is beautiful inside and out and she is so much fun. Happy birthday Syddie girl!!
