My little brother Michael is serving his mission in Argentina right now. I was trying to think of something to send him for Christmas....I have four brothers who have served missions and I have sent A LOT of packages. But Michael has only been out a few months, so I don't think he really needs new socks, ties, scripture pencils, etc. yet. I saw the idea of a fold-up Christmas tree on pinterest and took off with it. We worked on it last night for FHE and then I sent it off in the mail this morning. Best part is, it all folds up small so I just put it in a big envelope and sent it off to Argentina.
The tree all folded up and ready to pack. Ornaments made out of construction paper with pictures of the Peterson family on them. A paper star and lights made out of construction paper.
The tree covered in lights It is made out of green wrapping paper and took about half a roll. My kids thought this was so fun, and hopefully Michael will tape this to his wall and decorate it with all the family pictures. I love my missionary brother!
