Sisters...Sisters...There were never such devoted sisters....

Ellie was all dressed up today in her pink tutu when we realized that Sydney has one too!  She was already wearing her pink-striped shirt, so we put on the tutu and her big flower headdress and snapped a quick photo.  Sydney looks happy, Ellie, not so much.  Sydney is very, very sweet to her sister.  I think she recognizes a potential ally.  However, I don't know if it is turning three, being pushed out of the spotlight or jealousy, but Sydney has definitely been a little whiny and a little naughty since Ellie arrived.  She wants to be my "pretend baby" or she wants to be the "pretend mommy" while I am the pretend baby :)  She sure is funny though.

Sydney loves to watch "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood" on PBS.  It is an animated children's show inspired by "Mister Roger's Neighborhood."  They sing a lot of songs on the show that teach kids different ideas about sharing, using the potty, trying new things, etc.  Sydney loves those songs and incorporates them into everyday life.  Every time she goes to the restroom, she sings "When you have to go potty, STOP and go right away!"  When she tried to get me to taste something she was holding and I refused I hear, "You've got to try new foods, cause they might taste goo-ood."  While I was carrying Ellie and she wanted me to hold her and I told her she had to wait, she sang, " You can take a turn and then you give it back."  And my personal favorite, she was watching Matt build the shed and she sang, "Just keep trying, you'll get be-etter!"

She is a fun and funny girl for sure.
