3 little tidbits

1.Should I be blogging, no. Cleaning, packing, primary-ing, laundry, Christmas shopping or taking down my Halloween decorations are some of my other options. But, here I sit, browsing online, trying to figure what in the world a pregnant woman is supposed to wear to a formal holiday work party. And maybe I am kind of a tightwad and don't want to spend too much money on something I may never wear again. Any ideas? I have a few, but I will have to figure that out later.

2.Anywho, the good news is that I am feeling pretty good these days, hurray!

3. I have been looking for a new kitchen table for almost a year. You should first know that a)I am very picky, b)Matt is even more picky, and c) I really wanted to buy one secondhand to get us through the small child stage and then when they are older get something I love. d)almost everything I have seen new and used is counter height and I loathe counter height. All of these factors mean that we have not found a table. Matt was saying, just go to a furniture store and buy one, any one!! I didn't want to spend too much on it, especially since I have a feeling it will take a beating over the next few years.
And then this morning....I found something that piqued my interest. I called the owner and she said I could come check it out. I was sold on the spot. It isn't perfect, it isn't everything I have been looking for, but it is in good condition, they were anxious to sell because they are moving and I even got her to lower it by $100.00. Matt hasn't seen it. I called him and said hey what do you think? He said, whatever you want. I said, great, I just bought it. (Not really, but almost.) I may eventually re-stain the top, but I am so happy. Our family hasn't fit around our kitchen table for a couple of years. The old table will be my desk in Jamison's room after we kick Jamison out of the house (aka he leaves on his mission.) Yippeee.....now if I can only find something to wear....

Ah, the search for a kitchen table, a struggle I have been facing for years, except, I haven't actually been looking, since i have resolved to keep our piece of hud until we are done moving (being that we are in the navy, that won't happen for a long time). glad you found something you can all fit around.

As for the maturnity dress, I say, if you have a black maternity dress, dress it up with a shrug or cardigan, or a fancy sash, or a some major blingin' necklaces. Buying a formal maturnity gown doesn't sound fun to me.

I've been wanting a new table for years too. The one I won I bought at a garage sale a couple of years before Hema and I got married! It is pretty sad. I'd love to see a picture of yours. And I am sure anything you wear will be cute on you!

I doubt you are showing that much yet... and I bet you have already heard of Shabby Apple, but they have cute maternity dresses.

I know what you mean about being picky for the right table. I to have been keeping my eyes open for the perfect one for quite some time now. You'll have to post a pic of your new table. As for dresses, have you tried ksl? It has everything and I'm like you when it comes to spending very little money for a maternity/larger sized dress.

I've got a dress that I bought for one of Justins formal work parties. It's an empire waist, so shouldn't bother the tummy too much. It's silver and black, a bit of sequins and I wore a black shrug. You're welcome to take a look.
