Zack's 6th Birthday

It is amazing how time flies. Today, Zack turned six years old! He has had a great day. I brought some treats to his class and they sang to him, which he loved, of course. I picked him up at the bus stop in the car and told him we could go out for lunch. He chose hot dogs at Costco. Wow, is he easy to please or what? We ran into some neighbors also eating lunch at Costco, and Zack was thrilled, it was like a really cheap birthday party. The meal had barely begun when Zack knocked over his entire drink all over me. All over my coat, pants and inside my shoes. Ick. We headed home soon after and Zack was delighted to discover we had put streamers all over the house. He and Derek played while I made a cake.
Zack tried really hard to protect his gifts from his brothers, but eventually just gave up and let them play with everything. He was really thrilled with his gifts, though.
Matt and my brother James tried for what seemed an abnormally long time to transform Megatron and Optimus Prime. Eventually, they got it.
Austin snuck back to the table and finished off the cake.
Zack is such a great boy and we love him so much. It is so fun to watch him learn and grow. He is such a great brother and son. Happy Birthday Zack!
