Zack has been playing soccer for about 5 weeks. He likes it, but has been a little discouraged because, he is one of the youngest and smallest on the team. And although he hustles, there are kids who are waaaaaaaaaaay better than him and he can't get the ball very often. Well, on Saturday morning, I was helping him get ready for the game and he said, (in a sad voice) maybe someday I will get a goal. I told him not give up, to keep trying. Well, as luck would have it...the huge kids were not there and it was pouring rain. Zack went to town!! He was really aggressive and took like 11 or 12 shots that were short and the goalie was able to pick them up. His game face was hilarious. He was really determined to get some goals. Finally, in the last ten minutes, he scored three goals!!! He was jumping up and down in the pouring rain with his arms high in the air. It was so fun to see him work hard and succeed at something he really wanted. Of course, we had to celebrate, so after the game we headed to the hospital so he could tell Jamison all about and then on to get some CHOCOLATE DONUTS. Goooooooooooooo Zack!!!

Go Zack. Seriously. Eleven or 12 shots...AND THEN three goals!! He really must have been all over the place up and down that field. Makes me tired just reading it! :)
