Hola, amigas. I have been checking out a few "beauty blogs" lately and decided to try one here on my little blog. I have a couple questions for you little blog readers and would love your input.
1. Since I no longer pass for 23, I think it is time to up my skin care regimen. I hear about all these products all the time and get the impression that I am not doing enough to care for my skin. There are so many products on the market, though, and it is quite overwhelming. My current skin-care routine involves washing my face with Clean and Clear and then moisturizing with Clinque's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion (which I love.) I am not usually loyal to particular brands, other than the moisturizer. And I throw on a little sunscreen occasionally, not nearly enough. Oh, and Clearasil...that is a necesity. I would love to hear what you use and what you think of it.
2. Lipstick. I own like two lipsticks that I pull out on Sunday (occasionally), but have never really found a color or brand that I love. How do you know that it will look good on you? And which ones stay on for longer than 20 minutes without feeling like you will have to chisel it off? My current lip regimen consists of this: (sorry I couldn't get the photo to copy) Blistex. My best friend. There are probably 6 or 7 tubes in various rooms and bags around my house. I love it. (except for the berry one...it is disgusting). Send me your input people!
Gracias.

I have recently been turned on to Mary Kay products. My visiting teaching compainon is a Mary Kay Director. So, I got sucked into getting a facial. I made it very clear that I wasn't looking for any makeup but I would glady let her do a makeover on me to fill her quota. Well, I got sooooooooo many compliments the day she did my makeover and my skin felt really soft. I got sucked in. Kathryn, my vt companion told me something that I still think about. The first 20 years, you have the skin that you're born with. The next 20 years, you have the skin that you in invest in. And by 60, you have the skin you deserve. Oh, I have also heard from my family/friends that bare minerals is AWESOME too.
Ooo, well, I don't wear make-up enough. If I do, I just slap on some eye liner and mascara. That's it. So, I'm not really much help to you. I am curious to see how other people respond, though. I could use some tips! :) Right now my skin care regimen is to wash with Pure Fiji cleansing solution. I don't know how I feel about it. I haven't found anything better than Johnson & Johnson No More Tears Head-to-Toe Body Wash. Yep, that's right, I use it on my face. It works wonders with acne!! Anyway, I'll be checking back to see what people tell you. :)
I wash my face with shower water. Once in a while I use soap. I should try harder so I don't have those little black spots. My real problem is my stinking scalp. Going on 5 years, I get dry spots that I itch. It's not dandruff, but the dry spots are irresistible. I've tried a few different shampoos and nothing seems to work. My sweet wife tries clapping her hands when she sees me itching them. She thinks I'm one of those stupid light switches that you can clap and automatically turn off and on. I'd like to clap her once in a while. Peace.
John, I almost fell off my chair I was laughing so hard. Yes, it is true, you made me laugh! :) Shocker, I know.
Thanks for the tips everyone. I will try them out!
