The whole gang leaving the hotel, notice my and Matt's color coordinated outfit. It wasn't planned, I promise, but the shirt I brought was too tight on my big belly, so Tara and I switched last minute.

One WICKED Anniversary!!
Tomorrow a very special day for me. The one year anniversary of the day I first saw WICKED. Very tender, I know. Tara and I had been completely obsessing over WICKED for a year and a half...ever since our brother Chris saw it in NYC on a high school trip. After a year and a half of listening to the soundtrack every day...(Zack's favorite song was Loathing, I am still a little embarassed that my then-four year old would sing the word, "unadulterated") Matt gave me the best Christmas present ever (this would be Christmas 2006) and surprised me with tickets to see WICKED in Denver in May. (Tara and friends Tauna and Ashley were similarly surprised). So....after much anticipation we left my kids and Tara's kids at my house with my parents who had just arrived from Mexico like two days before (welcome home, see ya, have fun with two four year olds, a two year old and a 1 year old! :)) and flew to Denver with some friends. We left Saturday morning, arrived, ate, changed clothes, headed downtown, ate again (hey, there were three pregnant ladies among us). and then hung around watching a Jazz game at the ESPN lounge until showtime. The show was AWESOME.....I was worried that since I had such high expectations that I would be disappointed but I loved it. So did everyone else. I would see it again in a heartbeat. Then back to the hotel and we flew home the next morning. Just a quick trip...but oh it was a blast!

Eating a kid-free meal at Cheesecake Factory.
Happy Wicked Anniversary Tara, Tauna and Ashley!!

mmm, what a coincindence. Today wE are buying our tickets to go see wicked here in PA. I saw it last year when I went to NYC with some of my friends. It was awesome! I am excited to see it again, and excited for Cody to see it for the first time- though I dont know how excited he is, but I think he will be entertained!
Happy Wicked Anniversary.
PS- if you haven't seen it, Drowsy Chaperone is coming to SLC in June- GO SEE IT! It is really funny, plus it has Gilbert Blythe (the actor) in it.
That sounds like so much fun! Great job on the 5 miles. I'm impressed.
I've heard that wicked is pretty amazing. I have so many friends that have seen it multiple times. I'll have to see what everyone is talkin' about. I never noticed it before, but in the last picture of you and Matt, you two look sooooooo much alike. Seriously, your dimples, face shape, similar noses, even the shape of your eyebrows. What a cute couple!!
You two even have the same smile! It's crazy to me how alike you two look!
Seriously, what a small world- Joe is friends with J.B. and Ashley. Looks like you all had a blast! Good for you, we all need weekends away to miss our kids.
